TEACHING PRACTICE (AUGUST 11 - AUGUST 22)

I continued my teaching practice with the 8th standard students and successfully completed the remaining portions of the chapter before the commencement of exams. As part of the Independence Day celebration, various activities were organized in the school, and we contributed to coordinating the events and managing students during practices and programs.
In connection with the School Parliament Election, we actively assisted teachers during the election procedures, helped in managing the polling process, and also carried out invigilation duty throughout the election day. Additionally, we continued to take substitution periods whenever required.
From August 18 to 22, the school conducted the First Terminal Examination, so I did not get opportunities to take regular classes during that period. Instead, we supported the teachers by joining them in invigilation duty for the examinations, which helped us gain experience in managing exam halls and maintaining discipline.

TEACHING PRACTICE (JULY 28 - AUGUST 8)

Teaching practice continued with regular classes in the 8th standard. I began a new chapter Polygons. Along with regular responsibilities, this period offered many opportunities to participate in various academic and co-curricular activities.
During these days, we conducted a Social Science Quiz and a Science Quiz for high school students, which received an enthusiastic response. We also helped in the school food mess, serving meals and managing students, which provided valuable experience in school administration and teamwork.
For the commemoration of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day, we organized a quiz competition for both UP and HS students. A special assembly was held where students presented placards, charts, and messages promoting peace and harmony. The school also arranged a counselling session on adolescence, which helped students understand emotional and physical changes during their teenage years.
With the Parliamentary Election approaching, we encouraged students to understand the importance of voting and responsible citizenship. Throughout this period, we continued to take substitution classes, especially for UP sections, and supported discipline duties during lunch breaks.
One of the highlights of this phase was my class observation, which gave me feedback and confidence to improve my teaching skills further.

INNOVATIVE MODEL 1 - POLYGON CITY

Polygon City is an innovative still model created to connect the concept of polygons with real-life situations. The model represents a city layout where buildings, roads, traffic signs, clocks, and other objects are designed using different polygons such as triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and octagons. This innovative work helps students visually identify polygons in their surroundings and promotes experiential learning by making abstract geometric concepts concrete, engaging, and meaningful.
