SECOND PHASE OF TEACHING PRACTICE- NOVEMBER 3 TO NOVEMBER 14

The second phase of my teaching practice commenced on November 3,  2025. The first two weeks of this phase was both engaging and enriching, offering diverse academic and co-curricular experiences.
During this week, I introduced a new chapter in Mathematics for 8th standard students. The introductory sessions focused on familiarising students with the basic concepts of the chapter and creating interest through interactive discussions and examples. Students showed curiosity and active participation during the classes. The school celebrated Kerala Piravi, commemorating the formation of the state of Kerala. A special assembly was organised on this occasion, highlighting the cultural heritage, history, and significance of the day. As part of the celebration, we also conducted a quiz competition for HS students, which encouraged student participation and enhanced their general knowledge about Kerala. During the same week, the Sub-district School Kalolsavam was held. Many students actively participated in both group and individual events, showcasing their artistic talents and cultural skills. As teacher trainees, we were assigned duties such as monitoring students, assisting the school staff, and helping in the distribution of the noon meal on Kalolsavam days. These responsibilities helped us understand the administrative and supportive roles of teachers beyond classroom teaching. Overall, the first 2 weeks of the second phase of teaching practice provided valuable exposure to academic instruction, cultural activities, and school management responsibilities, contributing significantly to my professional growth as a prospective teacher.
